General description and relevant information | This subject focuses on the study of several aspects of the microscopic structure of matter. It introduces the foundations of Quantum Mechanics and its application to chemical systems of increasing complexity: model systems, atoms and molecules. Using atomic spectroscopy, we study the interaction between the electromagnetic radiation and matter, and how this interaction (spectra) provides information about the electronic structure of atoms. | |||||||||||||||||
