  AC1 Recognise the episteme, the history of schools of thought, and theoretical and methodological approaches to cities, the construction of citizenship and urban systems, and be able to use the leading analytical and thematic domains of urban ethnography for purposes of diagnosis, intervention and basic research.
  AC2 Study the new social and religious movements, bearing in mind global/transnational political and religious processes, and the dynamics of social, political and religious conflict, with the necessary critical spirit and the capacity for observation and analysis.
  AC3 Identify and appraise the consequences of the numerous and fluctuating transformations and dynamics of contemporary cities, as they are expressed in the spheres of urbanism, heritage-tourism, leisure and gender, and the way in which they articulate new forms of expression and interaction in urban spaces.
  AC4 Understand the main problems that affect the processes of social transformation stemming from migration and citizenship by considering the three main actors involved in the development of social policies: administration, organised civil society and international operators.
  AC5 Use their methodological skills and specialised knowledge in research techniques and intervention to study the complexity of the problems of metropolitan environments, migration processes and multiculturality and to design basic or applied research projects to analyse the origins of problems and make recommendations about how to solve them.
  AC6 Have a good knowledge of the literature on migration studies (in a variety of disciplines), and the ability to research and interpret migration policies and the extent to which they are influenced by the social sciences.
  AC7 Design projects on migration processes, as well as multidisciplinary projects that coordinate the various roles of the professions involved in studying and intervening in migrations.
  AC8 Design, implement and assess intervention plans by negotiating the provision of services with the people involved.
  AC9 Analyse the behaviours that represent a risk to the client system and draw up strategies to modify them.
  AC10 Use mediation as an intervention strategy for resolving conflicts and develop strategies for preventing risk in professional practice.
  AC11 Analyse and systematise the information provided by professional practice to create new strategies that respond to emerging social situations.
