Globalization not only entails the mobility of goods, capital and people, but also has greatly accelerated the flow of knowledge between countries. This subject deals with this dimension of the current economy. The international circulation of knowledge is carried out in different ways. Knowledge is incorporated in the machinery and instruments ranging from countries located on the technological frontier to the most backward countries, patents and computer software, among other supports. Deepening in the role played by R & D investments and innovations in current societies and, in parallel, seeing how they affect the welfare of countries and the international flows of technology will allow us to observe the importance of knowledge in the current world.
