IMPORTANT: In order to apply to the subject "Business Internships" it is mandatory to have knowledge of Spanish.

The agents involved in the coordination and follow-up of the External Practices of the Faculty of Economics and Business are:

A. The team of coordination of Business Practicals

The coordination team is formed by the Coordinator of Business Practicals and Job Exchange of the FEE and the Responsible for External Internships curricular, and is in charge of:

• Organize the mechanisms for the recruitment and selection of collaborating entities

• Fix all the terms of the different procedures linked to the Business Practicals

• Make informational sessions for students previous to the Registration of Business Practicals

• Review the profiles and activities planned in each practical site requested by the collaborating entities

• Assign an individual tutor to each student

• Request and generate the necessary documentation for the accomplishment of the Business Practicals

• Carry out informative sessions with students and academic tutors prior to the stay in student placements

• Support and coordinate the academic tutors

• Maintain contacts and meetings with those responsible for the practical programs of the collaborating entities

• Collect the suggestions of all the agents involved in the practicals, directly and through the sending of satisfaction surveys

• Fill in the academic records with the qualifications communicated by the tutors

• Review the PR-FEE-010 process and propose its modification, if applicable

• Assign accounts to the Faculty Board

B. Academic tutors of the Faculty of Economics and Business

Academic tutors, teachers of the FEE, are in charge of tutoring the students assigned for the coordination during the entire stay. The tutor must:

• Conduct a minimum of two face-to-face meetings with the student during their internship

• Conduct a minimum of two face-to-face meetings with the tutor of the collaborating entity at the headquarters of the entity

• Communicate to the coordination of practicals any incidence that requires of their knowledge, or any change with respect to the initial characteristics of the formative project.

• Qualify the student according to the criteria set in this teaching guide (based on the assessment provided by the collaborating entity, the assessment of the final report of the student and the assessment of the compliance and attitude of the student during the development of the practicals)

• Transfer all the documentation derived from the qualification of the student to the coordination of practicals

• Carry out a follow-up report on the coordination that has been carried out with each of the collaborating entities

C. Tutors of the collaborating entities

The tutor of the collaborating entity will be responsible for monitoring the student assigned during the whole period of stay of the student in his organization respecting the agreed training project. The guardian of the collaborating entity must:

• Facilitate the personal and professional development of the student

• Meet with the academic tutor, in the place where the student develops the practicals, at least twice.

• Communicate to the academic tutor any aspect that is considered relevant in the development of the practicals, especially any change in the agreed training project or the student's journeys to the internship office.

• Make a final report about the student that includes an explicit assessment of the competences provided in the Business Practicals. This report will be discussed at the last meeting with the academic tutor.

• Respond to a satisfaction survey

D. Students

The student, in order to make possible the correct monitoring and coordination of their practicals, must:

• Know the operation and schedule of practicals

• Attend informative sessions

• Comply with the obligations arising from the signing process of your agreement

• Develop the tasks entrusted to you during your stay in practicals

• Inform your academic tutor promptly of any aspect that you consider relevant to your learning

• Inform your academic tutor of any modification with respect to the one set forth in the signed agreement (tasks, tutor, timetable ...), especially if you have to move from your seat during the internship.

• Attend face-to-face meetings with your academic tutor

• Make a final report of your stay in practicals

• Respond to a satisfaction survey
