General description and relevant information The main objective of the subject is to introduce the student to the design of power distribution architectures in hybrid and electric vehicles. The steady state behavior of the propulsion system and the power converters of the power distribution system will be analyzed. In addition, the interactions between the power converters, the electric propulsion system and the vehicle dynamics will be studied in detail. Finally, students will apply the concepts acquired by designing and verifying by simulation a power distribution system of an electric vehicle.
