General description and relevant information

This course is an introduction to the study of the structural and functional organisation of cells, the principles of genetics and microbiology. The general objective of the course is that the student acquires a theoretical and practical basis of the cellular, molecular, and genetic bases of the functioning of the human body, both in the state of health and disease, with special emphasis on the study of microorganisms and infectious processes; which will later allow the student to understand the biological bases of pathology and therapeutics. All this knowledge is structured in three thematic blocks: Cell Biology, Genetics and Microbiology.

The course will be taught in Catalan and Spanish.
