General description and relevant information

The course is scheduled to be taught in person and this presence will be maintained if the regulations that may be issued by the health authorities and other competent bodies do not say otherwise, and the capacity requirements allow it. If there are changes they will be reported to the Moodle space of the subject.

This course aims to be an approach to this professional, complex, confusing and changing world, of which students will soon be part. In its development, the organization of the profession of architect and the structure of its professional associations will be known, with special emphasis on the knowledge of the statutes and deontological codes as well as the responsibilities derived from the professional exercise. There will be a tour of the processes necessary for the transformation of the land, first from the rustic land to the urbanized land and later from the urbanized land to the finished real estate product, making special consideration in the role of the architect in these transformation processes. The first part will analyze the processes from the side of the Public Administration leaving the second part to know the processes from the side of the private initiative. In both cases, in addition to the knowledge of the processes, it will be deepened to know the relations of the architect with the other agents of the building. The processes for the prevention of occupational hazards in the works will be known. Temporal planning methods (Gantt and Pert) will also be known.
