To offer a critical survey of research on the acquisition of English as a second and
foreign language and how these findings can be applied to classroom language
teaching.
At the end of the course students should have acquired:
- a scientific perspective on what learning an additional language entails
- the relevant skills to analyse the output produced by second language learners
- and knowledge and skills in order to have an informed critical opinion on issues
related to language learning and language planning |
