Introductory activities

An introductory session will provide an overview of the course, what the student should expect and what kind of work is required
Lecture
These lectures correspond to the theoretical input of this module. The students are requested to buy a guiding book (the title will be told the first day of the course), which will be used as a compulsory text to support their study and complement the theoretical sessions.
Presentations / expositions

Some of the seminars will be used to discuss some of the literary extracts or readings assigned. Also to present the students’ work (oral presentations), focussing on a particular period, chapter, author or work.
Assignments (Proves) EXAMS
There will be 4 written exams in the form of commentaries or essays.

Students also have an oral presentation: in groups or individually they will have to prepare a topic related to the contents of the programme. More details will be given in class.

Seminars PRIMER QUADRIMESTRE: Comentari de textos teòrics i de textos literaris per tal de conèixer i aplicar els diversos conceptes i mètodes d'anàlisi.
Personal tuition Students are welcome to use the teacher's office hours for personal consultation or to become acquanted with the basic requirements and contents of the course, and to further practise their communication skills in English.
I will also be available for consultation, etc. via e-mail.
