The main objective is to open the minds of the students to the all-pervading influence of interested misinformation based on economic gain by industrial giants. | |||
To learn the need for a critical approach to nutritional “information”, allways looking for the actual scientific bases of the claims advertised. | |||
To clearly distinguish the food-oriented and health-oriented information available, including the guides and norms produced by Academic Societies and Government bodies. | |||
To discard and prove false the miracle remedies to common ailments based on food and diet manipulation. | |||
To understand the need to learn nutrition and the long-term implication of diets and nutrients in health and disease. | |||
