Masters¿What are academic tutorials?
The academic tutoring allows you to have continuous support from a tutor, to respond to problems and needs related to your university life.
Each student has a tutor from the beginning until the end of the race.
In addition you also have other resources, such as courses and seminars with which it is intended to develop cross-cutting skills.
¿In what ways can academia tutorials be useful?The tutoring can be useful for:
- To locate myself easily in the university, to know the services that I have and the organs in which I can participate as a student.
- Orientation in the registration.
- Learn skills and techniques to improve my academic performance.
- Guidance in making decisions of an academic nature.
- Support in the incorporation to the labor world.
The tutor's recommendations will not be binding but you have to take them seriously, especially to prepare my curricular itinerary.
¿How are the tutorials organized?The tutorials you will attend can be organized as follows:
- Tutorials in small group: for formative and informative topics where it is necessary to work in small group encouraging your discussion and participation.
- Individual tutorials: when you want to consult your tutor personal issues. You have to request them.
- Seminars / seminars / courses: of a formative nature. The tutor will inform you of the ones that are of interest to you.
You can communicate with your tutor in person and virtually.
- Face-to-face: when you meet physically in the same place with the tutor.
- Virtual: through Moodle: E-tutorials. E-tutoring aims to facilitate communication with the tutor, agree a day and time for tutoring and have important information. You will access this space through the page: http://moodle.urv.cat
¿Who is my tutor?The tutor is a teacher of your degree, a teacher with knowledge in the teaching of students who tutor.
During the periods of classes the tutors will have a schedule of attention.
¿How are tutors assigned to students?The assignment is random. In case there are problems of understanding between tutor and student there is the possibility of requesting a change.
¿When should I attend tutorials?
- Before enrollment, to receive academic guidance based on your interests and academic / professional profile.
- Start of the course, especially if you are a new student will help you get to know the university better.
- In the middle of the course, in order to keep track of how you are evolving at an academic level and to guide you in aspects related to your academic performance.
- Start of the second semester, especially if you are a new student, in order to review the academic results of the first semester and guide the planning and dedication in the second semester.
- At the end of the course, in order to check the level of preparation of the subjects and review your training itinerary if necessary.
- Other moments throughout the race, when you are interested in talking with your tutor.

Our centre has designed and approved its Tutorial Action Plan (PAT), which defines the actions that will be carried out to provide students with the help and guidelines necessary to improve their integration into the University and their academic development.
