The promotion of creativity as a source of entrepreneurial opportunities and the
knowledge of the components necessary for innovation and management are
key issues for the competitiveness of tourism companies. This course covers
the basic theoretical foundations of innovation, contextualizes innovation within
the tourism sector, analyze organizational practices that facilitate creativity and
innovation and introduces the student to the innovation process by reflecting on
the role played by both the tourism organization itself and its institutional
framework.
