General description and relevant information

Provide extensive training in metabolic, endocrine, digestive, hematological, oncological processes related to health and disease at both the physiological and molecular levels. The student will learn to integrate the different pathogenic mechanisms that are involved in the disease. Dedication to certain topics of health importance such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, etc. will be greater than that devoted to other topics of minor health importance. Clinical cases related to each topic will be discussed, paying special attention to the clinical data presented by the disease and the biochemical data.

Theory and problem teaching will be face-to-face with a scheduled schedule if the health emergency situation for Covid-19 allows it. If this is not the case, the teaching of theory and problems will be mixed (face-to-face and distance) with a scheduled timetable.

The practical laboratory classes will preferably be held in person with scheduled hours taking into account the capacity of the laboratories and the limitations encountered by the Covid-19. The specific organization will be specified in the Moodle space of the subject depending on the health emergency situation.
