General description and relevant information |
This subject will be taught face-to-face as far as
is possible within the instructions of the health authorities. At the start
of the academic year, the calendar containing all teaching activities (with
timetables and classrooms) will be available in the subject's Moodle area.
The course offers a general overview of the historical development of English Literature from its beginnings up to the 19th century, focusing on the main characteristics , as well as the historical, social, cultural and artistic context, of each period. The course deals mainly with canonical texts, and establishes a foundation for the study of other literature in English. |
