THEORETICAL PART: This part will be evaluated through an objective test-type exam. The weight in the final grade for this part of the subject is 50%. This exam will assess the content covered in lectures, seminar sessions, and laboratory sessions. There will be a second opportunity that will consist of an exam with similar characteristics to the first opportunity. This part of the subject will be considered passed when the exam grade is equal to or higher than 5.00 out of 10. The grade for this part of the subject will not be carried over to subsequent courses. PRACTICAL PART: This part will be evaluated through the presentation of papers and reports from seminar and laboratory sessions. The weight in the final grade for this part of the subject is 40%. There will be a second opportunity that will consist of presenting the papers that were not submitted in the first opportunity and/or were not passed. This part of the subject will be considered passed when all proposed papers have been submitted (either in the first or second opportunity) and the average grade of the papers is equal to or higher than 5.00 out of 10. The grade for this part of the subject will not be carried over to subsequent courses. PRESENCE: This part of the subject will be evaluated through attendance and participation in seminar and laboratory sessions. The weight in the final grade for this part of the subject is 10%. There will be no second opportunity for this part. To obtain and include the presence grade, it will be necessary to have attended a minimum of 80% of the seminar and laboratory sessions. FINAL GRADE: The final grade of the subject will be the weighted average of the theoretical part (50%), practical part (40%), and presence (10%). To calculate the final grade, it will be essential to have passed both the theoretical and practical parts. If either the theoretical or practical part is not passed, but the total weighted average is equal to or higher than 5.00, the final grade recorded will be 4.00.
