To be successful in this course, the student must show a good knowledge of the set texts, so that they are able to cite examples, incidents, actions and thoughts of the characters in order to justify a line of argument. While the reading load will not be excessive, including the course anthology of texts, mostly up to 3-4 pages each, there will be a number of set texts which together will amount to the approximate equivalent of three mid-length novels. |
