General description and relevant information |
The main objective of the subject is to present the genetic markers of importance in forensic DNA analysis. To delve into the molecular characteristics of these markers, both nuclear DNA (autosomal chromosomes and sex chromosomes) and mitochondrial DNA are studied. Another objective is to acquire competence in the procedures, techniques, methodologies and analysis of results of an accredited forensic genetics laboratory. |
