General description and relevant information The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the main events and characteristics of twentieth-century literary and cultural movements in Ireland. By the end of the term students will have been exposed to a wide array of aspects of cultural life in Ireland (i.e. historical and geographic landmarks, social and cultural aspects, political as well as artistic developments).
