4 short examinations which test knowledge and understanding of the concepts presented in class, and their practical application to extracts from texts already studied in class 40

Students may choose to keep a journal, with two entries of 300 words each per week, in which the student comments on the texts being read in class, before and after the class in which the texts are discussed. The journal is a record of the student's learning process. It will be considered an alternative to the 'Treballs' and will have the same value (30% of the course mark)

 
Altres comentaris i segona convocatòria

Students who do not attend classes regularly and consequently do not complete the Continuous Assessment programme satisfactorily will have to take the final exam. The final exam will consist of short questions to test understanding of concepts related to types of narrative, 40%, text commentaries based on the set texts of the course 40%, and a short essay on one of the novels/short stories selected from the list of suggestions, 20%.
