General description and relevant information

This course is intended for practising translators and graduate students who are interested in a future career in translation or who wish to acquire language and technical skills that will give them added value in their chosen profession. Students will develop professional editing skills and acquire a greater awareness of the norms of clear and concise academic and technical writing. These skills can be applied to their draft translations to ensure they are accurate, efficient, and complete.

As an exceptional measure, in the 2020-2021 academic year this course will be taught via two modes. Usual-mode subjects will be taught in accordance with already established criteria.
