Description

The agents involved in the coordination and monitoring of the External Academic Internships of the Faculty of Economics and Business are:

A. The coordination of practices

Coordination is responsible for:

• Organize the recruitment and selection mechanisms of collaborating entities • Set all the deadlines for the different procedures linked to External Academic Internships • Conduct information sessions for students prior to registration for External Academic Internships • Review the profiles and planned activities of each internship offer • Assign an academic tutor to each student • Request and generate the necessary documentation to carry out the internships • Conduct information sessions with students and academic tutors prior to the start of the internship • Support and coordinate the academic tutors • Maintain contacts and meetings with those responsible for the internship programs of the collaborating entities • Collect the suggestions of all the agents involved in the practices, directly and through the sending of satisfaction surveys • Fill in the academic records with the grades communicated by the tutors • Review process PR-FEE-010 of the Internal Quality Assurance System of the FEE and propose its modification, if appropriate • Responsible to the Faculty Board

B. Academic tutors

The academic tutors, teachers of the FEE, are responsible for tutoring the students assigned by the coordinator throughout the stay. The tutor must:

•Hold a minimum of two face-to-face meetings with the student during their internship

•Carry out a minimum of two face-to-face meetings with the tutor of the collaborating entity at the entity's headquarters

•Communicate to the practice coordination any incident that requires their knowledge, or any change with respect to the initial characteristics of the training project.

•Qualify the student based on the criteria set out in this teaching guide

•Transfer all the documentation derived from the student's qualification to the practice coordination

• Make a follow-up report on the coordination that has been carried out with each of the collaborating entities

C. Tutors of the collaborating entities

The tutor of the collaborating entity is in charge of monitoring the assigned student throughout the period of the student's stay at their entity respecting the agreed training project. The tutor of the collaborating entity must:

• Facilitate the personal and professional development of the student.

• Meet with the academic tutor, at the headquarters where the student carries out the internship, at least twice.

• Communicate to the academic tutor any aspect that is considered relevant in the development of the internship, especially any change in the agreed training project or the student's departure from the informed internship location.

• Make a final report on the student that includes an explicit assessment of the expected skills. This report will be discussed in the last meeting with the academic tutor.

• Answer a satisfaction survey

D. Students

The student, with the aim of making possible the correct monitoring and coordination of their practices, must:

•Know the operation and calendar of the internships

•Attend information sessions

•Comply with the obligations derived from the process of signing your agreement

•Carry out the tasks assigned to you during your internship

•Promptly inform your academic tutor of any aspect you consider relevant to your learning

•Inform your academic tutor of any changes to what is provided for in the signed agreement (assignments, tutor, timetable...), especially if you have to travel away from their headquarters during the internship.

•Attend face-to-face meetings with your academic tutor

•Make a final report of your internship

•Answer a satisfaction survey
