General description and relevant information |
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE SUBJECT: Fundamentals of operating systems establishes the basis for using, with due knowledge and efficiently, any operating system. The main goal is to understand the functionalities offered by OSes and to understand quite accurately how applications run on a computer system. The student ends up using the system from two points of view: as an interactive user and as a user programming applications that takes advantage of the functionalities offered by an Operating System. |
