Type A Code Competences Specific
  A1 Understand the principles of tourism: its spatial, social, economic, business, cultural, legal, political, labour, and environmental dimensions, applying social responsibility and sustainability principles
  A2 Define objectives, strategies, commercial policies and communication techniques in the tourism field. Know how to construct an image and a brand, and how a tourism marketing plan is made and implemented taking into account the new distribution channels (social networks, mass media)
  A3 Identify and implement the basic tools offered by new technologies to the tourism industry. Know how to manage the Internet and social media, as well as evaluate and design the application of these
  A4 Understand the dynamic and evolutive nature of tourism and the new leisure society. Know the main current tourism products, as well as the tools and instruments for detecting and planning future products
  A5 Identify and apply innovation as a fundamental value for tourism management and administration: identify trends, lead projects, teams and people and manage knowledge and quality
  A6 Be aware of the relevance of the orientation of customer service and develop a clear orientation for quality in customer service
  A7 Analyse and evaluate the functioning of world destinations, their governance and tourism structures and productive tourism activities
  A8 Manage tourism territories and resources in accordance with sustainability principles (environmental, social and economic) and know the main initiatives for enhancing the value of heritage to achieve appropriate tourism development
  A9 Identify the management techniques of different types of tourism entities, defining the objectives, strategies, communication policies and management of financial resources
  A10 Know the operating procedures of the areas of accommodation, catering, intermediation companies, event organizers and public entities of tourism
  A11 Identify empirical problems and research them in order to draw conclusions and gain a better understanding of the tourist phenomenon
  A12 Use research methodologies based on applying quantitative, qualitative and geographic techniques to select, synthesize and interpret information applied to/derived from the tourism sector, including and understanding the potential of ICT
  A13 Identify and manage spaces and tourist destinations and evaluate their tourism potential by analysing the possibilities of their sustainable use
  A14 Detect planning needs of the tourist activity and understand the objectives, strategies and public instruments of planning
  A15 Acquire tourism communication skills, oral and written, in a foreign language
