CARIBBEAN LITERATURES:

a) Poetry: “Names” by Derek Walcott
“A Modern Slave Song” by Benjamin Zephaniah
An extract from “Discourse on the Logic of Language” by Marlene Nourbese Philip.

b) Short story: “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid

c) Essays: “Concepts of the Caribbean” by George Lamming
“Centrality of Caribbean Literature: Depicting Postcolonial and Multicultural Preocupations” by Seodial Frank H. Deena

d) Novel: Crick Crack, Monkey by Merle Hodge (120 pages)
