Welcome

The restoration of university studies in Tarragona took place in October 1971, with the start of the studies of Chemistry, along with those of Philosophy and Letters. On October 24, 1983, with the Law 14/1983, the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of Tarragona was created, within the University of Barcelona. Law 36/1991 of the Parliament of Catalonia for the creation of the Rovira i Virgili University and the Statutes of the University give it the current name of the Faculty of Chemistry of Tarragona.

From the 2009-2010 academic year, and substituting for the old degrees, the Faculty of Chemistry teaches Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degrees. The Degree of Chemistry offers 90 new entry places (60 for the degree in Catalan and 30 for the degree taught in English) and the degree of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology that offers 45 places of new entry.
