The preparation of the Master Thesis is carried out under the supervision of the director of the selected work proposal. The student is integrated into the research team which proposed the work. The students will therefore participate in seminars, meetings, debates, exhibitions, conferences and other activities of the research team. 40%

Students will give an oral presentation and will defense his Master's Thesis in English.
The oral presentation should be no more than 20 minutes, followed by a period of approximately 10 minutes for questions.
The jury will be composed of a maximum of three doctors belonging to research groups involved in the masters program. The most experienced academic among them will act as president.
Supervisors will not participate as a member of the jury.

OBSERVATIONS: There will be only one exam session for this subject. There will be no opportunity for students to retake the exam in a subsequent exam session.

In this section the stages of evaluation arespecified to achieve a correct evaluation of the competencies defined. In accordance with the educational objectivesof the TFM, we define the generic and specific competencies to be evaluated.

The evaluation is aimed at helping studentsto be aware of potential errors and defects. Please note that the Final Master'is intended to initiate students in research.

Students will be evaluated by theirsupervisors (40% of total mark) and board members (60% of the total mark).

The following criteria will be used toevaluate the experimental work

- Written report

a) Criteria thatrelate to the content: title correctness, abstract, introduction (well-definedobjectives, motivation, originality, interest and added value of the workdone), experimental part, a description of the methodology, results discussion andconclusions, references.
b)Formal aspects: written presentation, organization, appropriate use of tablesand figures ...


-Oral presentation: organization, clarity, time for presenting ...

-Discussion with panelists: answers to questions, considerations, issues relatedto the skills acquired: understanding the basics of research methodology (developmentof research to be able to confront and resolve researchproblems, ...), the ability to communicate in a proper and efficient, theability to understand, write and speak English ...

Inits evaluation, the supervisors also assess aspects related to personallaboratory work: scientific maturity of the students, the ability to workindividually, initiative, quality of discussions throughout the work andco-operation within the group research.
